Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most famous movies. The daughter of an artistic family in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. She started as a photo assistant then turned to modeling and acting. MacGraw was noticed in her two first films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most promising Newcomer. MacGraw was a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. In just three films, she became the top female box-office star in the entire world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv show The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married three times.
