Summer glau

Firefly is Whedon the next big hit television series. It is likely that she left an indelible impression because the one episode that she appeared on led to her becoming a star. Summer Glau played River Tam without difficulty. Glau was an excellent actor. As Tam her character, she was forced into government experiments where she was prepared to become the perfect assassin. Tam had difficulty learning to control her emotions, as a result. Glau demonstrated her fighting abilities as well as acting abilities on Firefly. Being learning to be an assassin allowed Glau to fully use her athletic ability. Summer Glau was classically-trained as ballerina. Her dancing prowess also includes studies in tango and flamenco however it was her broken toe that put her off dancing. Firefly was only on for one season, but the show garnered a large audience. Whedon's fans were so enthusiastic that Whedon returned to it two years later. In the meantime though, Summer Glau continued to receive some prestigious work.
